The Orphans was published in hardback by Hutchinson on 27 July 2017 and a Windmill Books paperback was issued in Spring 2018.

Siren is also published by Hutchinson and Windmill, and was one the iPaper's '10 best book club reads for 2016'.

A Parachute in the Lime Tree, set in neutral Ireland in 1941, was published by The History Press Ireland in 2012.

Short fiction awards include the Bryan MacMahon and Michael McLaverty short story competitions (Ireland), the Columbia Journal fiction prize (US), the Posara prize (Italy) and prizes in the Bridport, Fish, UPP Short FICTION, KWS Hilary Mantel, WOW! and Sean O Faolain awards.
Stories have been published in numerous places in Ireland, the UK, and the US, and broadcast on RTÉ radio. Most recently, Upstairs was a For Books' Sake Weekend Read in June 2018 and Nine-Day Wonder appeared in the anthology, Counterparts, published by The Stinging Fly in November 2018 in aid of the Peter McVerry Trust.

Annemarie has judged several short fiction awards including Bath Flash Fiction, WOW!, Reflex Fiction, and Flash 500.
